Polyxeni Aklidi is an actress and performer. She has studied theatre at the Drama School of the National Theatre of Northern Greece. Her undergraduate studies (BA) in Architecture at Manchester University have influenced her performance work at large. She holds a postgraduate degree (MA) on Devised Theatre at Dartington College of Arts, supported by a scholarship from the Greek National Scholarship Institute, I.K.Y. She has collaborated with a variety of theatre companies, both national and private. In 2008 she was nominated for the Karolos Koun Award, for best actress in Greek play, in Mavritsakis’s “The Blind Spot”. She has led theatre workshops in Greece and Brazil. She has collaborated with Jan Van de Engel, singing in his record “Misspent”.
